Chiropractor Directory

Some of the larger states, such as California or Florida, have a number of chiropractic volunteers working on getting resources regarding colleges, local organizations, recent graduates that are opening their first offices, and other information that is getting plugged into various databases we’ve been working on. As a result, directory databases for those states are growing at a fairly good pace and we be getting a balanced set of information.

Some of the difficulties we’ve been facing, is when dealing with databases and entries to create directories such as Chiropractors Idaho pages, which don’t offer much information, since there is not an active volunteer providing chiropractic related information from that state. Since there are no chiropractic colleges in the state the option of having students volunteer is checked off the list. As a result, we gotta rely solely on doctors of chiropractic currently practicing in the state.

Idaho is a good example, but states such as Delaware, Utah, or even Nebraska, could just as easily be used as an example of states requiring better information sets from people practicing in those locations.

While we’ve been focusing mostly on states, some metro areas have been showing strength in the community, with local chiropractors working together rather than competing with one another. Two good examples include Santa Monica Chiropractic and the community web site for Orange County Chiropractic. There are quite a few different ways chiropractors have been going about combining their information onto single web sites, after the October conferences it’s likely a much larger list will be appearing on this directory web site.

The lists are coming along slowly and all content is being provided by volunteers practicing in the states they are building listings for. Here is an updated list featuring Kentucky Chiropractors with the remaining info, such as schools, available on Planet Chiropractic.

When it comes to listing a business in a city directory, it is often seen that businesses are getting listed under the largest metro area rather than the city or town that the business is actually in. In some cases this can work against the business in being found on the Internet. Let’s take a look at Georgia, Atlanta, and the city of Marietta.

This region was chosen because of the large number of chiropractors practicing in the surrounding Marietta. Georgia area. Thanks to Life Chiropractic University many chiropractors have opened offices within 25 mile radius of the college campus. As a result, getting office locations listed on the Internet for cities such as Marietta may become more difficult, since the saturation rate of chiropractors in the area is higher than in most cities of similar population.

Chiropractic pages related to the state of Georgia on planet chiropractic, are divided into two categories. There is the Georgia state chiropractic page which is a general listing of chiropractic resources in the state of Georgia. There is also a directory with a main index page listed as the Georgia Chiropractic Directory, which divides the entire state into individual cities.

As a result of there being so many chiropractors practicing in the Atlanta area, it may be easier for new chiropractic offices to go after easier terms when it comes to being found for city searches. For example, it will likely be easier to get a web site page into the top 10 on a search engine using a term like Marietta chiropractor versus Atlanta chiropractor as the metro area of Atlanta is going to have far more offices associated with the term.

Even your page contextual advertising is going to be more saturated for cities like Atlanta then it will be for the outlying areas. If you are going to have directory listings in large metro areas such as Atlanta, consider using terminology like chiroAtlanta, Atlanta chiro, chiropractic Atlanta Georgia, or Atlantic chiropractors (if you have more than one DC in your office, or associated with your web site).

These principles apply to all Metro areas so in a place like Boston, Massachusetts you could simply apply the same concepts as a mentioned above, replacing terms like Atlanta with Boston.

Northwestern College of Chiropractic is located in the state of Minnesota.
The school was founded in 1941 and currently offers both a doctor of chiropractic degree as well as a bachelor’s of science degree.

Plans on building a single point location for chiropractors in the United States to have a presence online are moving forward.

We’ve been investigating a few alternatively based directory options and one is to build auto generating (or user generating) subdirectory domains that chiropractors can build and maintain on their own. Another is an index of sorts for existing domains but this model does not support the student or individual that does not currently have a website.

Standards for information such as schooling, states licensed in, years in practice, contact information, practice location, and other related info is being incorporated into template design.

Work is under way to simplify the process so that it is as easy as possible to create and maintain for end users (chiropractors).
