Not all chiropractic pages are equal

I was writing earlier about a chiropractor in Chicago that was getting #1 search engine positions for several cities surrounding his area. One may think that if it works in Chicago then it will work in San Diego or Los Angeles or Tampa, Florida. It’s not as simple as that, which is why search engine people are constantly working on websites, page, techniques, links, etc… in an effort to boost a site or page ranking.

Case in point, I was checking pages for Santa Clarita Chiropractor and noticed even though the page is aged and there is a PR4 rank, it’s not pulling the top postion for it’s primary term.

From what I checked, 2 of the four links that are pulling positions above it are Major Corporate Directories and that typically gives big weight to pages linked from those sites. Actually, checking it again there is one major directory and one directory that is just popular in the niche of chiropractic for local search. Two others are for chiropractic offices in the Santa Clarita area.

So what can this person do to get their page unstuck and have it move into a higher position on google? My thoughts would be to get some more content on the page. They could use some relative, related, on-topic stuff, and should add to it, edit it, update it on a regular basis.

What else? Inbound links would be a plus. Not links from things like this article (no PR weight here as of yet). They want some inbounds from on topic PR4’s and PR 5’s so they can get their page stimulated and moving back up the ladder and into the #1 position.

Alright, so let’s see some fresh content, maybe some page changes (I noticed there was no CSS in the source code) so things load cleaner and faster, and some inbound link love from friends and family ( or whoever decides to provide a link to: Chiropractors in Santa Clarita ) We’ll watch the page and do a follow-up SEO report in 30-45 days.
