This is the chiropractor directory project
There are many directories with information about chiropractors and chiropractic services available online. The intent behind this website project is to compile and organize categories and feeds to all available directories, along with pertinent information, such as whether those directories are free, paid, referral directories, non-chiropractic, chiropractic medicine, technique specific, location specific, available to organization members only, etc…
There will also be a FREE directory available here and all chiropractors throughout the world will be able to add and edit their information and make it easily accessible to all those visiting.
This website is not organization specific or school specific, there will be listings for all forms of chiropractic care without exclusion of any particular branch, field, philosophy or practice.
Directories will be searchable by zip code, city data, state data, country, technique, doctors last name, first name, religion (if stated), years in chiropractic practice, and more.
We will probably use a content management system to organize and coordinate all the chiropractic information. We are working with Drupal, Joomla, Mambo, and some others. No decisions have been made yet as to which system to go with on this project. But we are definitely going with an open source software package.
A ZIP code search system will work in the United States and Canada. But we are going to have to come up with some other solution for other countries. At any rate this should be an exciting and rewarding project for all involved.
